The 73d OD BN seeks to continuously develop Soldier Leaders utilizing processes and procedures in support of the Ordnance Corps' mission to provide the Operating Force with ready, resilient, and lethal professionals prepared for the rigors of combat. This is accomplished through:

• Focused Leader Development initiatives
• Emphasis on total Soldier Care (physical, mental, spiritual, administrative)
• Aggressive training schedules structured around Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills, Field Exercises, and Physical Readiness training

What this creates is a disciplined and lethal Professional Ordnance Leader prepared to sustain the Warfighter in Large Scale Ground Combat, and beyond.
