Yolanda C. Dennis-Lowman

Colonel Yolanda C. Dennis-LowmanColonel Yolanda C. Dennis-Lowman was born in 1960 and attended Texas Christian University with a major in Biology. In her Junior Year, she joined the Reserves Officer Training Corps and was commissioned as an Ordnance Officer upon graduation.

Colonel Dennis-Lowman led a 30-year Army career of increasing leadership; including, Company Commander, E Company, 27th Main Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division; Commander, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant; and Chief, International Cooperation Division in the Logistics and Security Assistance Directorate, U.S. European Command during its establishment of U.S. Africa Command.

In 2008, she assumed command of Tooele Army Depot.. During her tenure as commander, she enhanced the operational effectiveness of the command through her successful management of ammunition supply to soldiers in combat.

Following an assignment as Chief of Staff of the Support Element for the U.S. Third Army (ARCENT) in Kabul, Afghanistan, Colonel Dennis-Lowman culminated her career as the Exectuive Officer for the Commanding General of U.S. Army Material Command, General Dennis Via, in which she advised and provided administrative support to the Commanding General in his responsibilities with an Army command of 75,000 military and civilian employees located in 50 states and dozens of countries around the world. Her strategic understanding, sound leadership, and coordination skill enabled her to work through the command's toughest issues. She ensured proper interface with the Department of Defense, Congressional leadership, and both local and national industry partners.

Colonel Dennis-Lowman retired in May 2013.
