Anthony L. Boles

Command Sergeant Major Anthony L. BolesCommand Sergeant Major Anthony L. Boles was born on February 18, 1964 in Jennings, Florida. He enlisted in the Army in 1982 and attended Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky as an Infantry Fighting Vehicle Systems Mechanic. In a career of ever increasing responsibility and leadership, including assignments as Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, and First Sergeant, Command Sergeant Major Boles was assigned to multiple units, including the 2nd Armored Division, 24th Infantry Division, 2nd Infantry Division, and the 1st Corps Support Command.

In 2003, he began his 10-year career as a Command Sergeant Major with the 264th Corps Support Battalion. Following this assignment, he served as the Command Sergeant Major for the 406th Army Field Support Brigade and the 401st Army Field Support Brigade. These three assignments included deployments to both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

In 2010, Command Sergeant Major Boles was selected to be the Chief of Enlisted Career Management for the Ordnance Corps responsible for personnel management functions for 34 enlisted Military Occupational Specialties. He was a trusted advisor for the Chief of Ordnance and the entire Regimental Command Team. Command Sergeant Major Boles was a key player in training, instruction, and education initiatives regarding every facet of Soldier training; including, the integration of female Soldiers in MOSs 91A, 91M, and 91P; the incorporation of the Army Learning Model 2015; Skills Based Training; and Training with Industry.

Command Sergeant Major Boles retired in 2014.
