Chief Warrant Officer Five Terry W. Hetrick

Chief Warrant Officer Five Terry W. Hetrick was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and entered the Army through the delayed entry program in 1983. He completed Advanced Individual Training in 1984 and became a Light Wheeled Vehicle and Power Generation mechanic. After 10 years as a Soldier and Non-Commissioned Officer stationed around the world, he completed the Warrant Officer Basic Course and Technical Course in 1994 and began his 22-year career as an Automotive Maintenance Warrant Officer.

In 2012, CW5 Hetrick was selected to be the 8th Ordnance Corps Regimental Chief Warrant Officer. He served as a senior advisor for two Chiefs of Ordnance in executing short-and-long-range goals in affecting transformation in leader development, materiel management processes, acquisition, and business strategies for the Ordnance Corps. He directed senior level management decisions involving the Army Warrant Officer 2025 vision and strategy and implemented Chief Warrant Officer 5 staffing positions within the Program Executive Offices (PEO) within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology to harness the expertise of Ordnance Warrant Officers in its mission.

CW5 Hetrick culminated his Army career as a Logistics Mentor in Operations Group Sierra for the Mission Command Training Program, Combined Arms Command at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He observed, coached, and trained staff functions and processes, and provided focused feedback to develop leaders to accomplish organizational goals, integrate systems and procedures in order to create shared understanding and to shape decisions.

Chief Warrant Five Terry W. Hetrick retired in 2016.
