CW5 David N. Conrad

CW5 David N. ConradCW5 David Conrad joined the U.S. Army Reserve in 1976, taking Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Ft Leonard Wood, MO, and was awarded MOS 63B10, earning two promotions and many accolades in the process.

Quickly progressing through the ranks, Chief Conrad was promoted to 63B40 and became the Motor Sergeant of his unit. Chief Conrad applied for, and was accepted into the Warrant Officer ranks in 1988 as a 213A, Engineer Equipment Warrant Officer. He served with distinction in this capacity, including a tour attached to the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. During this deployment he trained a Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Maintenance platoon on the maintenance of U.S. and Russian Engineer equipment.

Other notable duty assignments was Maintenance Officer, 88th Regional Readiness Command Readiness Team, where he was assigned as the 402d AFSB LSE Commander and deployed to Iraq, a tour he volunteered to extend to remain his supported unit, 1/1 Armored Division; Deputy Commandant/Technical Director, RTS-Maintenance at Ft McCoy, WI where his efforts led to increased production by over 100%; 143d ESC with a deployment to Afghanistan where his theater maintenance program improved readiness rates by over 5% for 237,000 pieces of equipment, and finally to the United States Army Reserve Command as the G4 Senior Ground Maintenance Officer. In this last assignment CW5 Conrad also performed duties as Army Reserve Ordnance Proponent Advisor, Army Reserve Ordnance Senior Warrant Officer Council, and the Army Reserve Senior Warrant Officer Panel.

CW5 Conrad retired in October 2015.
