COL Scott Hull graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and received a commission as a second lieutenant in the Armor Branch. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
After his initial assignment as a Mortar Platoon Leader in the 1st Battalion, 37th Armor in Ansbach, Germany, he transitioned to the Ordnance Corps with an assignment as the Division Ammunition Officer for the 4th Armored Division in Germany, followed by assignment in Vietnam as the Commander, 571st Ordnance Company in Phu Bai, where he was responsible for two ammunition supply points supporting combat operations in the I Corps region. Some of his other notable assignments include Commander, Savannah Army Depot, where he increased productivity while experiencing a 10% loss of employees; J4 Munitions Branch Chief, Pacific Command, Director, establishing a $50 million four-year War Reserve Stockpile in Thailand; Ammunition Inventory and Maintenance, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island Illinois, where he was instrumental in the planning and shipment of over 800,000 tons of ammunition to Saudi Arabia in support of Operations Desert Storm; and culminated his military career as the Chief of the Munitions Division Army G4, where he managed and directed the U.S. Army’s ammunition and missile stockpile valued in excess of $45 billion dollars.
COL Hull retired on 1 August 1997.
