CW5 Bonville entered active duty service in July 1989 and was appointed to WO1 in August 1997. She was assigned to the 515th Transportation Medium Truck Company (POL) where she was recognized for her efforts resulting in a sustained operational readiness rate of 90%.
CW5 Bonville was reassigned to 123d Signal Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division as a Battalion Maintenance Technician. It’s here that she discovered and corrected a major deficiency in the battalion's tactical quiet generators which resulted in increased generator reliability for the entire division. During the Division’s Marne Inspection Program, the battalion was recognized for being the only battalion in over two years to pass the equipment readiness portion of the inspection.
CW5 Bonville’s following assignment with Battalion Maintenance Tech 759th Military Police BN where she maintained a 96% Operational Ready (OR) rate; Maintenance Tech, 183d Maintenance Company where she was recognized for developing a reversecycle service plan that enabled the company to catch up on months of overdue services; and Battalion Maintenance Tech 68th Corps Support BN. Other notable assignments include Group Leader and Instructor Writer, U.S. Army Ordnance Mechanical Maintenance School; Senior Ordnance Logistics Officer, 8th Military Police Brigade where she designed, developed and implemented an Environmental Compliance program resulting in a 100% commendable rating for the Brigade; Senior Military Evaluator, U.S. Army Evaluation Center; and Senior Ordnance Logistics Officer and Maintenance Readiness Branch Chief, 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC).
CW5 Bonville was an Instructor/Writer for the 61st Ordnance Brigade APG, MD, here is where she provided technical instructions in the principles, theory, functioning, operational characteristics, diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex Ordnance systems. She wrote lesson plans, examinations and practical exercises and developed digital training aids. Exceptionally noteworthy she was recognized for the significant contribution resulted in the USAOMMS Warrant Officer Education System curriculum receiving a “Fully Accredited” rating from the American Council on Education that resulted in awarding college credits for Ordnance Warrant Officer Courses. Her initiatives in these areas enabled the Warrant Officer Professional Development Division to deliver top quality material to the students with the Contemporary Operating Environment.
She culminated her career as a Senior Military Evaluator, U.S. Army Evaluation Center where her technical expertise and detailed planning ensured the successful completion of a Milestone B Decision Review for CRRD in February 2017.
CW5 Bonville’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal with seven Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal (2), Southwest Asia Service Medal (3), Iraq Campaign Medal (2), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (1), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal (1), Korea Defense Service Medal (1), Noncommissioned Officer Professional Ribbon (2), Army Service Ribbon (1), OSR Overseas Services Ribbon (6), Kuwait Liberation Medal-Saudi Arabia (1), Kuwait Liberation MedalGovernment of Kuwait (1), and Combat Action Badge (1).
CW5 Bonville retired in January 2018 after a distinguished 29 year career.
