CW5 Richard Myers Jr

CW5 Richard Myers JrCW5 Richard Myers Jr. entered the Army in 1988 and served honorably throughout a 31-year career. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration as well as an MBA from Touro University.

CW5 Myers notable positions include Commander, 1st Warrant Officer Company, Warrant Officer Candidate School, Fort Rucker, Alabama; the 1st Infantry Division Senior Ordnance Logistics Warrant Officer, Fort Riley, Kansas; the Ordnance Corps Regimental Chief Warrant Officer at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia; and the Command Chief Warrant Officer for the Combined Arms Support Command, Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia.

CW5 Myers culminated his accomplished career as the Director of Logistics Modernization for Army Futures Command in Austin, Texas. In this position, CW5 Myers stood up the Army Futures Command Logistics Modernization Division as well as served as the Future Vertical Lift Cross Functional Team Integrator. He masterfully bridged the gap between academia, industry and the military to inform the capabilities development, procurement and acquisition processes to create a more effective future for Army Logistics.

CW5 Myers authored multiple publications and contributions including Army Sustainment’s “The unique talents of sustainment warrant officers” and “The 10 Things Warrant Officers Need To Know About ARFORGEN” in addition to “U.S. Army Warrant Officer: Expert Soldier, Expert Leader, Expert Technician”.

CW5 Myers’ awards include the Legion of Merit with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with eight Oak Leaf Clusters, the V Corps Distinguished Leadership Award, and two Army Awards for Maintenance Excellence.

CW5 Myers retired in December 2019 and now serves as a Department of the Army Civilian for the Army Logistics University.
