Colonel Sellers was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance
Corps from Newberry College, South Carolina and was a Distinguished
Military Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education.
She has a Master of Science degree in Logistics Management from Florida
Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
from Indiana University.
After attending Ordnance Officer Basic Course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, she served as Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in the 53rd Heavy Material Supply Company, Assistant Battalion S2/3 (Security & Operations) at 8th Maintenance Battalion, and Shop Officer for the 149th Maintenance Company, all in Hanau, Germany, as a part of 3rd Corps Support Command.
Upon completion of a tour in Germany, she attended the Ordnance Officer Advanced Course followed by an assignment to Camp Casey, Korea where she was the Maintenance Officer in Support Operations of the 702nd Main Support Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division.
She also commanded the 85th Maintenance Company and the 81st Quartermaster Detachment. She also served in the 1st Cavalry Division as the 115th Forward Support Battalion Support Operations Officer which included a rotation to Kuwait as part of Operation Desert Spring.
COL Sellers then attended Command and General Staff College followed later by an assignment to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, in 2005, where she served as the 101st Sustainment Brigade Support Operations Officer and deployed to Multi-National Division-North, Iraq in support of the 101st Airborne Division.
Then LTC Colonel Sellers was selected to command the Brigade Special Troops Battalion Commander in 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division and the Contingency Operating Site Warrior Installation Commander for 7,000 personnel from various Department of Defense and Department of State entities along with host nation and multi-national governmental and non-governmental agencies based in Kirkuk, Iraq.
She was then transferred to the TACOM LCMC where she served as the TACOM LCMC G-3/Operations Officer and then served as the Director of Field Support Operations where she led a Directorate of about 1650 DA Civilian and Military personnel at over 60 locations worldwide sustaining readiness for 2,000 product lines with over 34,000 components of Army ground equipment.
Colonel Sellers’ career culminated as the TACOM LCMC Chief of Staff for an 11,000-member workforce of Soldiers and Department of the Army Civilians with an operating budget over $2 billion in support of global operations.
Her awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (2 awards), Meritorious Service Medal (6 awards), Army Commendation Medal (3 awards), and numerous lesser awards. She was awarded the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Army Staff Identification Badge, 2 Meritorious Unit Commendations and a Presidential Unit Citation.
Colonel Sellers retired in 2015.
