Anyone may submit a nomination.

Nominee must meet one of the following criteria:

• Retired from military or civilian service for at least one year from the date of nomination.
• Deceased: Eligible immediately.
• Has distinguished himself/herself through acts of valor, gallantry, or heroism involving personal hazard or danger and the voluntary risk of life, regardless of years of service or retirement status.

Complete all data on the "Nomination Application".

• Provide a detailed narrative description and documentation of the nominee's “significant” contributions to the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps.
• Include a “head & shoulder shot” photograph of the nominee. Size should be 3 x 5, 5 x 7 or 8 x 10.
• Submit any supplemental documentation which may assist the research officer in documenting and verifying the nominee’s contributions. Information may be sent to the addresses below:

IMPORTANT: Nominations are required by 28 February for consideration. If a nomination is submitted without sufficient details and documentation, the nomination will be held in an inactive file and will not be presented to the selection board. The nominator will be notified in writing if corrective action needs to be taken. If corrective action is not taken by the designated deadline (28 February annually), the nomination will be returned to the nominator and will not be considered.

If a nominee is not inducted after four consecutive reviews by the selection board, the nomination will be place in an inactive status. After a 1-year waiting period, the nominee can be considered again if re-nominated. If a re-nomination is received during the waiting period, the nomination will be effective when the year is over. In no event shall an individual remain under consideration for more than 4 consecutive years. The nomination process may continue indefinitely. The files containing biographical histories and documentation will be maintained by the Ordnance Historian.

Yes, you can complete the Hall of Fame Nomination Application Form; save the file and forward it to the Ordnance Hall of Fame email or save to a standard CD-R or CD-RW and send to the address listed above.

PLEASE NOTE: Should you choose to use the above option, you will still be required to mail in any hard copies that you are submitting, such as photos, news articles, etc. Unless you have scanning capabilities, which is acceptable.
