Colonel Bradley Waite currently serves as EOD Commandant and Director, TRADOC Proponent Office-Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD). He is responsible for emerging doctrine, training development, equipment integration, assessment, selection and personnel development for Army EOD.

Commissioned through the Johns Hopkins University ROTC program in 1999, he branched as an Ordnance Officer and was selected for a two year branch detail assignment to the Infantry.

As an Infantry Officer he served as a Heavy Weapons Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in the 1-503d Infantry Regiment (Air Assault) at Camp Casey, Korea prior to returning to the Ordnance Corps. He then completed multiple Ordnance assignments including Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Platoon Leader and Shop Officer for the 514th Maintenance Company before transitioning to serve as the Battalion S-3 of the 548th Corps Support Battalion, Fort Drum, New York.

Following Explosive Ordnance Disposal training he commanded the 53d EOD Company, Yakima Firing Center, WA, the 706th EOD Company, Schofield Barracks, HI, and 303rd EOD Battalion, Schofield Barracks, HI. His combat deployments include the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and two tours in Afghanistan.

COL Waite’s key staff assignments include US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). While serving at DTRA he directly supported the elimination of the Syrian regime’s chemical weapons stockpile in early 2014 and deployed to West Africa later that year in support of US efforts to halt the Ebola epidemic. At the Defense Intelligence Agency, he managed the DOD’s Foreign Materiel Program, where he was responsible for acquisition and exploitation of adversary munitions and weapon system platforms to enable countermeasure development.

He holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and National Security Policy from Troy University and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA.
