Common Knowledge and Skills: The learning outcome for this annex is to provide the student with the Knowledge and Skills required to have common knowledge of publications, hazardous materials, basic shop safety, the use of tool, and NAVMC forms.
Fundamentals of Electricity: To provide the entry level students with the knowledge and skills required to maintain, service and repair electrical systems and review OSHA Hazardous Communication Standards.
Refrigeration Theory and Components: To provide the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to perform services, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Train the student with the knowledge required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for certification on sections 608, 609, Type I, and Type II of the Clean Air Act of 1990.
Marine Specific Refrigeration: To provide the student with an application phase for applying the skills and knowledge required to maintain and repair Marine specific refrigeration or Environmental Refrigeration Units.
Marine Specific Air Conditioning Equipment: To provide the student with an application phase for applying the skills and knowledge required to maintain and repair air conditioning equipment or Environmental Control Units.
