Course Description

This course is designed to train the Active Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard enlisted Soldiers in the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform field level maintenance on the Stryker family of vehicles. Maintenance training includes learning how each automotive system (air, fuel, electrical, hydraulic, brakes, steering, pneumatic, powertrain, air-conditioning (A/C), suspension, and armament) works and then taught the proper troubleshooting procedures for each of those systems. As a Stryker maintainer, Soldiers are also taught how to properly use test measurement and diagnostic equipment, technical publications, specialty tools and learn the importance of shop safety. Graduates are apprentice level Army Stryker system maintainers who are credentialed and certified (EPA 609) in A/C automotive service and repair and qualify for up to 12 hours of college level credit.
